AI-suggested
Apply the official patch by upgrading to @nuxt/vite-builder version 4.6.3 or later, which fixes the vulnerability by preventing client error reports from reading arbitrary files. Until patched, do not expose the Nuxt development server to untrusted networks; keep the default localhost binding and avoid using `nuxt dev --host`, `nuxt dev --tunnel`, or proxies to the dev port. If the vulnerable dev server was exposed to untrusted networks, assume sensitive files may be compromised and rotate credentials such as SSH keys and environment variables.
Description
A vulnerability in @nuxt/vite-builder versions 4.6.0 to 4.6.2 allows an attacker with TCP access to the Nuxt development server to read arbitrary files on the server filesystem by sending a crafted client error event. This issue affects only the development server and not production builds. The vulnerability is mitigated by default localhost binding, but exposing the dev server to untrusted networks can lead to sensitive file disclosure. The issue is fixed in version 4.6.3.
