Patch by Bénédikt Tran. - CVE-2025-6075: Fixed performance issues caused by user-controller os.path.expandvars() (bsc#1252974) - Library - gh-140797: Revert changes to the undocumented re.Scanner class. Capturing groups are still allowed for backward compatibility, although using them can lead to incorrect result. They will be forbidden in future Python versions. - gh-142206: The resource tracker in the multiprocessing module now uses the original communication protocol, as in Python 3.14.0 and below, by default. This avoids issues with upgrading Python while it is running. (Note that such ‘in-place’ upgrades are not tested.) The tracker remains compatible with subprocesses that use new protocol (that is, subprocesses using Python 3.13.10, 3.14.1 and 3.15). - Core and Builtins - gh-142218: Fix crash when inserting into a split table dictionary with a non str key that matches an existing key. - Update to 3.13.10: - Tools/Demos - gh-141442: The iOS testbed now correctly handles test arguments that contain spaces. - Tests - gh-140482: Preserve and restore the state of stty echo as part of the test environment. - gh-140082: Update python -m test to set FORCE_COLOR=1 when being run with color enabled so that unittest which is run by it with redirected output will output in color. - gh-136442: Use exitcode 1 instead of 5 if unittest.TestCase.setUpClass() raises an exception - Library - gh-74389: When the stdin being used by a subprocess.Popen instance is closed, this is now ignored in subprocess.Popen.communicate() instead of leaving the class in an inconsistent state. - gh-87512: Fix subprocess.Popen.communicate() timeout handling on Windows when writing large input. Previously, the timeout was ignored during stdin writing, causing the method to block indefinitely if the child process did not consume input quickly. The stdin write is now performed in a background thread, allowing the timeout to be properly enforced. - gh-141473: When subprocess.Popen.communicate() was called with input and a timeout and is called for a second time after a TimeoutExpired exception before the process has died, it should no longer hang. - gh-59000: Fix pdb breakpoint resolution for class methods when the module defining the class is not imported. - gh-141570: Support file-like object raising OSError from fileno() in color detection (_colorize.can_colorize()). This can occur when sys.stdout is redirected. - gh-141659: Fix bad file descriptor errors from _posixsubprocess on AIX. - gh-141497: ipaddress: ensure that the methods IPv4Network.hosts() and IPv6Network.hosts() always return an iterator. - gh-140938: The statistics.stdev() and statistics.pstdev() functions now raise a ValueError when the input contains an infinity or a NaN. - gh-124111: Updated Tcl threading configuration in _tkinter to assume that threads are always available in Tcl 9 and later. - gh-137109: The os.fork and related forking APIs will no longer warn in the common case where Linux or macOS platform APIs return the number of threads in a process and find the answer to be 1 even when a os.register_at_fork() after_in_parent= callback (re)starts a thread. - gh-141314: Fix assertion failure in io.TextIOWrapper.tell() when reading files with standalone carriage return (\r) line endings. - gh-141311: Fix assertion failure in io.BytesIO.readinto() and undefined behavior arising when read position is above capcity in io.BytesIO. - gh-141141: Fix a thread safety issue with base64.b85decode(). Contributed by Benel Tayar. - gh-140911: collections: Ensure that the methods UserString.rindex() and UserString.index() accept collections.UserString instances as the sub argument. - gh-140797: The undocumented re.Scanner class now forbids regular expressions containing capturing | GCVE Database | ||

| High | 7.3 | EPSS 0.3% | CVE-2026-25156kohler hotcrp · Cross-site Scripting High7.3EPSS 0.3%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-25156 HotCRP is conference review software. HotCRP versions from October 2025 through January 2026 delivered documents of all types with inline Content-Disposition, causing them to be rendered in the user’s browser rather than downloaded. (The intended behavior was for only `text/plain`, `application/pdf`, `image/gif`, `image/jpeg`, and `image/png` to be delivered inline, though adding `save=0` to the document URL could request inline delivery for any document.) This made users who clicked a document link vulnerable to cross-site scripting attacks. An uploaded HTML or SVG document would run in the viewer’s browser with access to their HotCRP credentials, and Javascript in that document could eventually make arbitrary calls to HotCRP’s API. Malicious documents could be uploaded to submission fields with “file upload” or “attachment” type, or as attachments to comments. PDF upload fields were not vulnerable. A search of documents uploaded to hotcrp.com found no evidence of exploitation. The vulnerability was introduced in commit aa20ef288828b04550950cf67c831af8a525f508 (11 October 2025), present in development versions and v3.2, and fixed in commit 8933e86c9f384b356dc4c6e9e2814dee1074b323 and v3.2.1. Additionally, c3d88a7e18d52119c65df31c2cc994edd2beccc5 and v3.2.1 remove support for `save=0`. | CVE Database V5 | ||
| Medium | 6.8 | EPSS <0.1% | CVE-2026-24413Icinga icinga2 · Incorrect Default Permissions Medium6.8EPSS <0.1%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-24413 Icinga 2 is an open source monitoring system. Starting in version 2.3.0 and prior to versions 2.13.14, 2.14.8, and 2.15.2, the Icinga 2 MSI did not set appropriate permissions for the `%ProgramData%\icinga2\var` folder on Windows. This resulted in the its contents - including the private key of the user and synced configuration - being readable by all local users. All installations on Windows are affected. Versions 2.13.14, 2.14.8, and 2.15.2 contains a fix. There are two possibilities to work around the issue without upgrading Icinga 2. Upgrade Icinga for Windows to at least version v1.13.4, v1.12.4, or v1.11.2. These version will automatically fix the ACLs for the Icinga 2 agent as well. Alternatively, manually update the ACL for the given folder `C:\ProgramData\icinga2\var` (and `C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\modules\icinga-powershell-framework\certificate` to fix the issue for the Icinga for Windows as well) including every sub-folder and item to restrict access for general users, only allowing the Icinga service user and administrators access. | CVE Database V5 | ||

| Medium | 5.4 | EPSS 1.9% | CVE-2025-5318Red Hat Security Advisory: OpenShift Container Platform 4.16.55 bug fix and security update Medium5.4EPSS 1.9%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2025-5318 A flaw was found in the libssh library in versions less than 0.11.2. An out-of-bounds read can be triggered in the sftp_handle function due to an incorrect comparison check that permits the function to access memory beyond the valid handle list and to return an invalid pointer, which is used in further processing. This vulnerability allows an authenticated remote attacker to potentially read unintended memory regions, exposing sensitive information or affect service behavior. | GCVE Database | ||

| Medium | – | EPSS 0.2% | CVE-2025-68821Linux kernel · fuse: fix readahead reclaim deadlock MediumEPSS 0.2%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2025-68821 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: fix readahead reclaim deadlock Commit e26ee4efbc79 ("fuse: allocate ff->release_args only if release is needed") skips allocating ff->release_args if the server does not implement open. However in doing so, fuse_prepare_release() now skips grabbing the reference on the inode, which makes it possible for an inode to be evicted from the dcache while there are inflight readahead requests. This causes a deadlock if the server triggers reclaim while servicing the readahead request and reclaim attempts to evict the inode of the file being read ahead. Since the folio is locked during readahead, when reclaim evicts the fuse inode and fuse_evict_inode() attempts to remove all folios associated with the inode from the page cache (truncate_inode_pages_range()), reclaim will block forever waiting for the lock since readahead cannot relinquish the lock because it is itself blocked in reclaim: >>> stack_trace(1504735) folio_wait_bit_common (mm/filemap.c:1308:4) folio_lock (./include/linux/pagemap.h:1052:3) truncate_inode_pages_range (mm/truncate.c:336:10) fuse_evict_inode (fs/fuse/inode.c:161:2) evict (fs/inode.c:704:3) dentry_unlink_inode (fs/dcache.c:412:3) __dentry_kill (fs/dcache.c:615:3) shrink_kill (fs/dcache.c:1060:12) shrink_dentry_list (fs/dcache.c:1087:3) prune_dcache_sb (fs/dcache.c:1168:2) super_cache_scan (fs/super.c:221:10) do_shrink_slab (mm/shrinker.c:435:9) shrink_slab (mm/shrinker.c:626:10) shrink_node (mm/vmscan.c:5951:2) shrink_zones (mm/vmscan.c:6195:3) do_try_to_free_pages (mm/vmscan.c:6257:3) do_swap_page (mm/memory.c:4136:11) handle_pte_fault (mm/memory.c:5562:10) handle_mm_fault (mm/memory.c:5870:9) do_user_addr_fault (arch/x86/mm/fault.c:1338:10) handle_page_fault (arch/x86/mm/fault.c:1481:3) exc_page_fault (arch/x86/mm/fault.c:1539:2) asm_exc_page_fault+0x22/0x27 Fix this deadlock by allocating ff->release_args and grabbing the reference on the inode when preparing the file for release even if the server does not implement open. The inode reference will be dropped when the last reference on the fuse file is dropped (see fuse_file_put() -> fuse_release_end()). EPSS 0.2%Vulnerability | GCVE Database | ||
