CVE-2025-45805 is a high-severity stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the phpgurukul Doctor Appointment Management System 1.0. An authenticated doctor user can inject arbitrary JavaScript code into their profile name, which is then rendered unsanitized when other users view the doctor’s profile to book appointments. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute malicious scripts in the context of other users’ browsers, potentially leading to session hijacking, data theft, or further exploitation. The CVSS score is 7.6, indicating a high impact with network attack vector and low attack complexity. No known exploits are currently reported in the wild. European healthcare organizations using this system could face confidentiality breaches and service disruptions. Mitigation requires implementing proper input validation and output encoding on user-supplied data, especially profile fields.
