CVE-2026-18663: Double Free in Red Hat Red Hat Directory Server 11CVE-2026-18663
0

CVE-2026-18663 is a double-free vulnerability in the 389-ds-base component of Red Hat Directory Server 11. The flaw occurs in the get_ldapmessage_controls_ext() function when handling a critical Session Tracking control during an unauthenticated BIND request, leading to heap corruption and potential denial of service. The issue primarily affects builds using the glibc allocator, while Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and RHDS 13 builds using jemalloc are not impacted by crashes. No information disclosure or privilege escalation has been demonstrated. Mitigations include ignoring the criticality of the Session Tracking control or restricting network access to LDAP ports. Only 389-ds-base 3.x versions with the Session Tracking control feature are affected.
