CVE-2026-59965 is an authorization vulnerability in the jhb-software payload-plugins for Payload CMS versions prior to 0.8.0. The vulnerability allows any authenticated user, including low-privilege users, to read and overwrite protected upload documents' alt and keywords fields by bypassing collection-level access controls. This occurs because the plugin endpoints default overrideAccess to true, skipping intended read and update access checks. The issue is fixed in version 0.8.0.
