CVE-2026-87911: CWE-78 Improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command ('OS command injection') in AWS AWS Labs postgres MCP ServerCVE-2026-87911 0 CVE-2026-87911 is a critical OS command injection vulnerability in the AWS Labs postgres MCP Server before version 1.1.7. It allows an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the host of a self-managed PostgreSQL server by exploiting the SQL validation component's read-only enforcement via a crafted COPY ... TO PROGRAM statement. The vulnerability affects the default read-only mode when an authenticated user interacts with the MCP server. AWS manages remediation for this cloud-hosted service. Users should upgrade to version 1.1.7 or later to address this issue. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 09/09/2026, 21:30:11 UTC Added: 09/09/2026, 19:56:48 UTC |
