GHSA-3c6j-hq33-3jv4: OpenClaw: Paired nodes could forge exec lifecycle events without system.run provenanceCVE-2026-53816 0 OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.5.18 contain a vulnerability where a paired node can forge exec lifecycle events without proper provenance verification tied to an authorized system.run request. This flaw allows a compromised paired node to send crafted node.event messages that the gateway accepts as legitimate exec lifecycle results, potentially exposing capabilities that should be restricted. Exploitation requires control of a paired node connection; unauthenticated attackers cannot directly reach the gateway. The issue is addressed in OpenClaw version 2026.5.18 and later.
