The ip-address JavaScript library versions from 10.1.1 up to but not including 10.2.2 contain an improper input validation vulnerability. This flaw causes special-use IP address classification methods to incorrectly report internal addresses as external when a CIDR suffix like /0 is appended. This can lead to incorrect network trust-boundary decisions, such as allowing Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks. The issue is fixed in version 10.2.2.
