GHSA-q7q8-3mgw-q67r: OpenClaw: Message read actions could skip channel allowlist checksCVE-2026-53815
0

OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.5.19 contain a vulnerability where message read actions can bypass channel allowlist checks. This allows a lower-trust caller with access to the message read action to request messages from channels they should not have access to, depending on operator configuration. The vulnerability does not affect the overall trusted-operator model of OpenClaw. The issue is fixed starting with version 2026.5.19. Mitigations include restricting message read actions to trusted operators, keeping channel allowlists narrow, and disabling the affected feature if not needed.
