Malicious code in sotqa-test (npm) 0 The npm package 'sotqa-test' version 20.3.8 contains malicious code that, upon loading, reconstructs command-and-control hostnames and downloads a platform-specific native binary without verification. This binary is saved under disguised filenames and executed detached from the main process. Additionally, a second obfuscated module acts as a dropper for another payload, also executed stealthily. The package effectively compromises any system on which it is installed, potentially giving full control to an attacker.
