Malicious code in cardsmobile-collection (npm) 0 The npm package 'cardsmobile-collection' version 20.4.6 contains malicious code that, upon being required, downloads and executes a platform-specific binary from suspicious external hosts. This binary is saved to temporary directories with executable permissions and launched detached via child processes. The package uses obfuscation techniques to evade static analysis and disguises its behavior under the guise of telemetry and analytics functionality. The fetched binary is unrelated to the package's stated purpose and the external hosts are not affiliated with the package publisher.
