Malicious code in rollup-packages-node-polyfills (npm) 0 The npm package 'rollup-packages-node-polyfills' is a typosquatting malicious package impersonating 'rollup-plugin-polyfill-node'. Upon requiring its main entry, it decodes and executes a base64-encoded command to silently install another malicious package 'cors-update', which it then dynamically loads and executes. This behavior is hidden using base64 encoding to evade detection. The package's advertised functionality does not justify installing or running additional packages at import time, indicating malicious intent.
