Malicious code in claims-replace-url-params (npm) 0 The npm package claims-replace-url-params version 35.3.2 contains malicious code that downloads and executes arbitrary payloads from suspicious external hosts. The package's main module loads a platform-specific asset by fetching base64-encoded data from multiple hardcoded domains, writing it to temporary files, setting executable permissions, and spawning it as a detached process. This behavior is obfuscated to evade static detection and no integrity checks are performed on the downloaded payloads. The malicious activity is hidden under an 'analytics SDK' label, and the delivery hosts are unrelated to the package's declared purpose.
