The npm package 'db-dx-connector' is a malicious package impersonating the legitimate 'dx-db-connector' package by inverting its name. It contains a backdoor method 'queryDBConnect' that fetches and executes arbitrary JavaScript code from an attacker-controlled remote URL at runtime. This allows remote code execution within any Node.js process that calls this method. The malicious behavior is obfuscated using base64 encoding and silent error handling.
