AI-suggested

Upgrade vtenext to version 25.02.2 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation or temporary workaround is indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

vtenext versions prior to 25.02.2 contain a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the HomeWidgetBlockList.php module. The flaw arises from unsanitized widgetId keys in the widgetInfoList JSON parameter being echoed directly, allowing attackers to inject malicious HTML/JavaScript. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to submit a crafted POST request, which results in script execution within the victim's session. This vulnerability is fixed in version 25.02.2.
