AI-suggested
Upgrade n8n to version 1.123.61, 2.27.4, or 2.28.1 or later, where the vulnerability is fixed. Alternatively, avoid using the legacy MySQL v1 node's executeQuery operation with externally reachable triggers and untrusted input. Use the MySQL v2 node which employs parameterized queries and is not affected.
Description
CVE-2026-59257 is a SQL injection vulnerability in n8n's legacy MySQL v1 node's executeQuery operation. Versions before 1.123.61, 2.x before 2.27.4, and 2.28.x before 2.28.1 are affected. The vulnerability arises because the operation directly substitutes evaluated expressions into SQL strings without parameterization, allowing attacker-controlled input to execute arbitrary SQL commands if the workflow is externally reachable. The newer MySQL v2 node is not affected.
