Description

CVE-2026-90463 is an input validation vulnerability in the sssd NSS responder on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. A local attacker can send specially crafted service lookup requests to the NSS responder's UNIX socket, causing an out-of-bounds read that may crash the NSS responder process, resulting in a denial of service (DoS). There is no evidence of privilege escalation or data disclosure. Mitigation involves restricting access to the NSS responder UNIX socket to trusted local clients by enforcing stricter permissions or UID restrictions.
