AI-suggested
A patch is available and should be applied by updating to linux-nvidia-tegra kernel versions 5.15.0-1057.57 or 5.15.0-1068.70 or later. After updating, a system reboot is required. Due to an ABI change, third-party kernel modules must be recompiled and reinstalled. Follow the vendor advisory at https://ubuntu.com/security/notices/USN-8818-5 for detailed update instructions.
Description
A set of security vulnerabilities were discovered in the Linux kernel for NVIDIA Tegra systems, including a critical issue in ARM64 processors where a broadcast TLB invalidation could complete before memory writes were globally observed. This flaw could allow a local attacker to write to memory after permission revocation, potentially bypassing memory protections or escalating privileges. Multiple other kernel subsystems were also affected. Fixes have been released in updated kernel versions.
