Upgrade dnspython to version 2.9.0 or later, where the vulnerability is fixed. Since a patch is available and the issue is resolved in the fixed version, applying this update eliminates the risk.
Description
A vulnerability in dnspython prior to version 2.9.0 allows an attacker to cause excessive pointer traversal during DNS name decompression, leading to high CPU usage and potential denial of service. This is due to the lack of a hop limit when following DNS compression pointer chains in dns.name.from_wire_parser. The issue is fixed in version 2.9.0.
