Upgrade dnspython to version 2.9.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Since a patch is available, applying this official fix is the recommended remediation.
Description
A denial of service vulnerability exists in dnspython prior to version 2.9.0 due to unbounded traversal of DNS compression pointer chains during name decompression. This can cause high CPU usage and application degradation when processing malicious DNS messages. The issue is fixed in dnspython version 2.9.0.
