Description
CVE-2024-45336 is a vulnerability in the Golang net/http package used by Red Hat products including OpenShift. The flaw causes sensitive headers like Authorization to be incorrectly restored and sent after a sequence of cross-domain and same-domain HTTP redirects, potentially exposing credentials. Red Hat rates this issue as moderate impact with a CVSS score of 5.9. No fix is currently available, and mitigation options are limited or do not meet Red Hat's criteria. Users are advised to install the Web Terminal Operator on OpenShift Container Platform 4.19 or higher to use the updated Web Terminal functionality.
