AI-suggested

Upgrade Redis to version 8.6.3 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched. No other mitigations are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Redis versions from 7.2.0 up to 8.6.3 contain a vulnerability in the unblock client flow where an error return from processCommandAndResetClient is not handled properly. This flaw allows an authenticated attacker to trigger a use-after-free condition if a blocked client is evicted during this flow, potentially leading to remote code execution. The issue has been fixed in Redis version 8.6.3.
