7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio. Versions 9.18 through 26.00 contain a heap out-of-bounds read in 7-Zip Ar handler BSD SYMDEF parser. A 4-byte heap out-of-bounds read exists in the Unix ar archive parser in 7-Zip. When parsing a BSD-style __.SYMDEF symbol table, the ParseLibSymbols function reads a 32-bit namesSize field via Get32 at a position that can equal the buffer size, reading 4 bytes past the end of the heap allocation. This reads uninitialized heap data under the default allocator. Version 26.01 patches the issue.
7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio. Versions 26.00 and prior contain a heap buffer overflow vulnerability caused by an under-allocation in the NTFS compressed stream buffer (GetCuSize shift UB), potentially allowing attackers to cause arbitrary code execution or application crashes. CInStream::GetCuSize() in the NTFS handler computes the compression-unit buffer size as (UInt32)1 << (BlockSizeLog + CompressionUnit), and a crafted image with ClusterSizeLog >= 28 and CompressionUnit == 4 drives the exponent to 32, which is undefined behavior and collapses on x86/x64 so _inBuf is allocated as 1 byte. ReadStream_FALSE then writes up to 256 MB of attacker-controlled data into that 1-byte buffer in 64 KB iterations, and because the CInStream object sits only 304 bytes after _inBuf, its vtable pointer is overwritten and the next dispatched call achieves a vtable hijack. On 32-bit builds the overflow is unconditionally reached; on 64-bit it requires the parallel 8 GB _outBuf allocation to succeed, otherwise failing closed to denial of service. The NTFS handler is enabled by default in stock 7z.dll and, via signature-based fallback matching "NTFS " at offset 3, will open a crafted image regardless of file extension during extraction or testing. Version 26.01 fixes the issue.
An integer overflow vulnerability (CVE-2026-37555) exists in the libsndfile library's ima_reader_init() function. libsndfile is a C library used for reading and writing sampled sound files such as AIFF, AU, and WAV. This vulnerability affects Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support and related CodeReady Linux Builder variants. Red Hat has issued a security advisory with an update that addresses this issue. The vulnerability is rated as having an important security impact by Red Hat Product Security.

OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. From version 0.7.0 to before version 0.9.0, a remotely reachable integer overflow in OBI's memcached text protocol parser can crash the OBI process and cause denial of service. When parsing memcached storage commands such as set, add, replace, append, prepend, or cas, OBI accepts extremely large <bytes> values and adds the payload delimiter length without checking for overflow. A crafted request with <bytes> set to math.MaxInt or math.MaxInt-1 causes the computed payload length to wrap negative and triggers a runtime panic in LargeBufferReader.Peek. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.
CVE-2026-46384 is an integer overflow vulnerability in the iskorotkov avro Go library prior to version 2.33.0. Multiple decoder paths process attacker-controlled 64-bit values unsafely, leading to integer truncation and arithmetic overflow. On 32-bit platforms, this can bypass byte-slice limits and cause panics. Other overflow issues affect all platforms, potentially causing denial-of-service crashes. The vulnerability is fixed in version 2.33.0.
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in pam_usb versions prior to 0.9.1 due to improper heap memory allocation when processing the number of devices from the configuration file. On 32-bit systems, integer overflow causes an undersized allocation, leading to heap overflow during array writes. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 6.7 and can impact confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The issue is fixed in version 0.9.1.
smallbitvec is a growable bit-vector for Rust, optimized for size. From 1.0.1 to 2.6.0, an integer overflow in the internal capacity calculation of smallbitvec can lead to an undersized heap allocation, resulting in a heap buffer overflow through safe APIs only. This allows memory corruption without requiring unsafe code from the caller. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.6.1.
NewNTUnicodeString does not check for string length overflow. When provided with a string that overflows the maximum size of a NTUnicodeString (a 16-bit number of bytes), it returns a truncated string rather than an error.
CVE-2026-39834 is a critical integer overflow vulnerability in the golang.org/x/crypto/ssh package. It occurs when writing data larger than 4GB in a single Write call on an SSH channel, causing an integer overflow in the internal payload size calculation. This overflow results in an infinite loop that sends empty packets without progress, leading to a denial of service condition. The issue stems from using a truncated integer type for size comparison, which has been addressed by switching to int64 to prevent overflow.
NVIDIA Triton Inference Server contains a vulnerability in the DALI backend where an attacker could cause an integer overflow. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, data tampering, or denial of service.
NVIDIA Triton Inference Server contains a vulnerability where an attacker could cause an integer overflow. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service.
Rsync version 3.4.2 and prior contain an integer overflow vulnerability in the compressed-token decoder where a 32-bit signed counter is not checked for overflow, allowing a malicious sender to trigger an overflow that causes the receiver process to read and return data from outside the intended buffer bounds. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to disclose process memory contents including environment variables, passwords, heap and stack data, and library memory pointers, significantly reducing ASLR effectiveness and facilitating further exploitation.
Kitty is a cross-platform GPU based terminal. In versions 0.46.2 and below, the handle_compose_command() function in kitty/graphics.c performs bounds validation on composition offsets using unsigned 32-bit arithmetic that is subject to integer wrapping, potentially leading to Heap Buffer Over-Read/Write. An attacker who can write escape sequences to a kitty terminal (e.g., via a malicious file, SSH login banner, or piped content) can supply crafted x_offset/y_offset values that pass the bounds check after wrapping but cause massive out-of-bounds heap memory access in compose_rectangles(). No user interaction is required. No non-default configuration is required. The attacker only needs the ability to produce output in a kitty terminal window. This issue has been fixed in version 0.47.0.

Integer overflow in the Widget: Win32 component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 151, Firefox ESR 140.11, Thunderbird 151, and Thunderbird 140.11.
libyang is a YANG data modeling language library. Prior to SO 5.2.15, lyb_read_string() in src/parser_lyb.c contains an integer overflow that results in a heap buffer overflow when parsing a maliciously crafted LYB binary blob. An attacker who can supply LYB data to any libyang consumer (NETCONF server, sysrepo, etc.) can trigger a crash or potential heap corruption. This vulnerability is fixed in SO 5.2.15.
libsixel is a SIXEL encoder/decoder implementation derived from kmiya's sixel. From to 1.8.7-r1, a signed integer overflow in the SIXEL parser's image-buffer doubling loop can lead to an out-of-bounds heap write in sixel_decode_raw_impl. context->pos_x grows by repeat_count on every sixel character with no upper bound check. Once pos_x approaches INT_MAX, the expression "pos_x + repeat_count" used to size the image buffer overflows signed int. Depending on how the overflow wraps, the resize check that should reject oversized buffers can be bypassed, after which a subsequent write computes a large attacker-influenced offset into image->data and writes past the allocation. Reachable from any caller that decodes attacker-supplied SIXEL data, including img2sixel. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.8.7-r2.
libsixel is a SIXEL encoder/decoder implementation derived from kmiya's sixel. From to 1.8.7-r1, signed integer overflow in sixel_encode_highcolor's allocation size calculation can lead to a heap buffer overflow. The public sixel_encode entry point validates only that width and height are greater than zero, with no upper bound. width and height are multiplied as plain int when computing the allocation size for paletted_pixels and normalized_pixels. Any caller that asks libsixel to encode a pixel buffer with width times height greater than INT_MAX (about 2.15 billion) will hit a wrapped allocation size; under the right wrap, the malloc succeeds with a buffer much smaller than the encoder expects, and the encoder writes past the end of the heap allocation. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.8.7-r2.
