Ruby JSON is a JSON implementation for Ruby. Versions 2.9.0 through 2.19.8 are vulnerable to heap buffer overflow when the JSON generator is provided with an oversized streamed object. When streaming to an IO JSON.dump(obj, io) and JSON::State#generate(obj, io) can write past the internal JSON generator buffer when a streamed object contains an
attacker-controlled string near 16 KB. Exploitation would result in a reliable process crash/denial of service. This issue has been fixed in version 2.19.9.
A vulnerability was detected in liftoff-sr CIPster up to e8e9dba09bf56962807d3504b783ccdb6287f3e4. Affected by this issue is the function BufWriter::append of the component EtherNet IP Message Handler. Performing a manipulation results in out-of-bounds write. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit is now public and may be used. This product follows a rolling release approach for continuous delivery, so version details for affected or updated releases are not provided. The patch is named 3a0159ed43125dcd024a1965f0289cb186bae9ff. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch.
An unauthenticated
out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in onvif.cgi in GeoVision GV-LPC2011
and GV-LPC2211 V1.12 and earlier. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient
bounds checking when processing HTTP request body data. A remote attacker may
exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request with excessive input,
causing memory corruption and resulting in a denial of service.
jq is a command-line JSON processor. Prior to 1.8.2,` jq --rawfile` can turn a handled oversized-string error into invalid-state reuse and a real heap out-of-bounds write in assertion-disabled builds. When jv_load_file(raw=1) reads an attacker-controlled file, it repeatedly appends file chunks to the same jv string accumulator. Once jv_string_append_buf() returns jv_invalid_with_msg("String too long"), the raw-file loop does not stop. If the file contains at least one more byte, the next loop iteration appends a new chunk to an object that is already invalid. With assertions enabled this aborts in jvp_string_ptr(). With assertions disabled, the invalid object is interpreted as a string object and ASan reports heap-buffer-overflow. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.8.2.
List::SomeUtils::XS versions before 0.59 for Perl have a heap buffer overflow in the pairwise function.
pairwise() collects the values returned by the block into a heap buffer sized to the longer input array, then grows the buffer before each copy with a single quadrupling (alloc <<= 2) instead of a loop. A block call that returns more than four times the current allocation in one invocation outgrows that one quadrupling, and the copy writes past the end of the buffer.
Any caller of pairwise() whose block returns, for a single pair, more than four times the longer input array's length writes past the buffer and corrupts the heap.
In EmberZNet v9.0.2 and earlier, malformed ClearWeekdaySchedule messages can trigger out-of-bounds writes into Door Lock schedule state. The size and location of this data is limited. These messages must come from a device that has already joined the network. Only devices supporting the Door Lock cluster may be impacted.
In EmberZNet v9.0.2 and earlier, malformed IAS Zone enrollment messages can trigger an out-of-bounds state-table write and terminate the process. The size and location of this write is limited. These messages must come from a device that has already joined the network. Only devices supporting the IAS Zone cluster may be impacted.

libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec. Prior to version 1.0.20, a crafted H.265 bitstream can cause an out-of-bounds array write in `decoder_context::process_reference_picture_set()` (`libde265/decctx.cc:1376`). The root cause is a missing aggregate bound check on predicted short-term reference picture set entries. Individual list sizes are validated, but the combined count after predicted RPS construction can exceed the 16-entry `PocStFoll` array, writing at index 16. Version 1.0.20 patches the issue.
ProxySQL is a proxy for MySQL and its forks, as well as PostgreSQL. Versions 2.0.18 through 3.0.8 have a pre-authentication heap memory corruption vulnerability in the MySQL and PostgreSQL protocol first-read paths. A remote unauthenticated client can declare an oversized first packet length, and ProxySQL passes that attacker-controlled length directly to `recv()` while writing into a fixed 32 KB input queue. Version 3.0.9 patches the issue.
An arbitrary address write vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A missing bounds check in the SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control function allows an attacker to inject an arbitrary pointer into the cyclic refresh map field via crafted image pixel values. The encoder then writes approximately 1,200 bytes at the attacker-controlled address. This is fully deterministic and does not require a separate information leak. An attacker who can supply frames to a network-facing libaom encoder with SVC enabled could exploit this for denial of service or potential code execution.
OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.11, an integer overflow in ht_undo_impl() in src/lib/OpenEXRCore/internal_ht.cpp leads to a heap-buffer overflow when decoding a crafted HTJ2K-compressed EXR file. decode->channels[i].width (int32_t) is multiplied by bytes_per_element in 32-bit signed arithmetic. With large widths (e.g., >= 536870912 for FLOAT data), this overflows, producing a corrupted offset that is later used for pointer arithmetic and can cause a heap out-of-bounds write. The same unchecked multiplication pattern appears in two other HTJ2K paths (bytes-per-line accumulation and pixel-line pointer advancement). As with related CVE-2026-34378 through CVE-2026-34589 fixes in other codecs, validating only after the multiplication is too late because the value may already be overflowed. This issue has been fixed in version 3.4.12.
Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in RTI Connext Professional (Queueing Service,Core Libraries,Persistence Service) allows Overflow Buffers. This issue affects Connext Professional: from 7.4.0 before 7.7.0, from 7.0.0 before 7.3.1.3, from 6.1.0 before 6.1.*.
stable-diffusion.cpp is a pure C/C++ library for running diffusion model (Stable Diffusion, Flux, Wan, Qwen Image, Z-Image, and more) inference. In versions prior to master-584-0a7ae07, the pickle .ckpt parser in src/model.cpp contained a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the BINUNICODE opcode handler. The issue was caused by sign confusion on the opcode length field. A crafted .ckpt file could trigger memcpy with a very large length derived from a negative signed value, causing immediate heap corruption.
The issue has been resolved in version master-584-0a7ae07. If developers are unable to immediately update their applications they can work around this issue by only loading .ckpt checkpoint files from trusted sources and preferring trusted model sources and safer formats such as .safetensors where possible.
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the pickle .ckpt parser of stable-diffusion.cpp prior to version master-584-0a7ae07. The flaw occurs due to missing validation when parsing newline-delimited fields, allowing a crafted .ckpt file without the expected newline to cause heap corruption. This vulnerability requires loading a malicious .ckpt file from an untrusted source. The issue has been fixed in version master-584-0a7ae07. Until updated, users should avoid loading .ckpt files from untrusted sources and prefer safer formats like .safetensors.
stable-diffusion.cpp is a pure C/C++ library for running diffusion model (Stable Diffusion, Flux, Wan, Qwen Image, Z-Image, and more) inference. Versions prior to master-584-0a7ae07 are vulnerable to heap buffer overflow in SHORT_BINUNICODE parsing for PyTorch checkpoint files. The pickle .ckpt parser in src/model.cpp contained a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the SHORT_BINUNICODE opcode handler. The issue was caused by sign confusion on the opcode length field. A crafted .ckpt file could trigger memcpy with a very large length derived from a negative signed value, causing immediate heap corruption. Any application using affected stable-diffusion.cpp releases to load untrusted .ckpt model files could be vulnerable. A malicious checkpoint file could cause heap corruption through memcpy with an attacker-controlled length. This may lead to process crash and could potentially be leveraged for code execution depending on heap layout. The attack requires the victim or application to load a .ckpt file from an untrusted source, such as a downloaded model from a model sharing site. The issue has been resolved in version master-584-0a7ae07. If developers are unable to immediately update their applications they can work around this issue by not loading .ckpt checkpoint files from untrusted sources, and referring to trusted model sources and safer formats such as .safetensors where possible.
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in LibreOffice Calc when importing tracked changes from spreadsheet documents that reuse the same change identifier for different change types. This causes a type confusion where the importer treats one change object as a larger type, leading to out-of-bounds memory writes. The issue affects versions 25.8 and 26.2. The vulnerability has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 5.4. No official patch or remediation information is currently available.
LibreOffice Calc compiles cell formulas when opening a spreadsheet. A heap buffer overflow existed when compiling a very long formula made up of many opening tokens. The array that tracks nesting depth was allocated one element too small for that worst case, so such a formula wrote one element past its end. In fixed versions the array is sized to hold the largest possible nesting.
LibreOffice can import presentations in the legacy binary PPT format. A stack buffer overflow existed when importing a colour-replacement record. Two fixed-size colour tables were filled from the file, but the write position was not reset between the two passes over the record, so a file whose combined colour counts exceeded the table size wrote past the end of the tables on the stack. In fixed versions the unused second pass is no longer read into those tables.
