AI-suggested
A patch is available in Linux kernel version 6.8.0-1038.42 for NVIDIA Tegra systems. Users should update their systems to this version or later and reboot to apply all security fixes. Due to an ABI change, recompilation and reinstallation of any third-party kernel modules are required. No other specific mitigations are noted in the vendor advisory.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities were discovered in the Linux kernel for NVIDIA Tegra systems, including an issue in the io_uring subsystem that improperly handles canceled task work during certain wait operations. This flaw can cause operations to execute in the wrong task context, potentially allowing a local attacker to cause a denial of service (system crash). The update addresses numerous security flaws across a wide range of kernel subsystems and drivers. A patch is available and users are advised to update to the fixed kernel version and reboot. Due to ABI changes, third-party kernel modules may need recompilation.
