AI-suggested

A fix is available in pyasn1 version 0.6.4 and later. Users should upgrade to this version or newer. As a workaround, avoid converting, printing, or comparing decoded Real objects from untrusted sources and instead inspect the raw (mantissa, base, exponent) tuple directly.

Description

A vulnerability in pyasn1's univ.Real type causes excessive CPU and memory consumption when converting decoded REAL values with very large exponents to Python floats. This can lead to denial of service if applications decode untrusted ASN.1 data and then convert, print, or compare these REAL values. The issue is fixed in pyasn1 version 0.6.4 and later.
