AI-suggested

A fix is available and users should update to the patched package versions provided by Ubuntu: 8.1-1ubuntu1.14, 8.4.4-1.1ubuntu6.5, 10.4.1-3ubuntu1.1, or 10.5.1-1ubuntu2 depending on their Ubuntu release. Applying standard system updates will apply these fixes. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond updating to the fixed versions.

Description

FRRouting (frr) versions from 4.0 through 10.4.1 contain a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the show_vty_link_info function at ospf_ext.c. This flaw allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (DoS) by sending crafted OSPF packets. The issue affects multiple Ubuntu package versions and has been assigned CVE-2025-61105. Fixes have been released in updated package versions for supported Ubuntu releases.
