In March 2026, trojans represented 21% of attachment-based threats, while phishing attacks using fake pages dropped from 42% to 15% month-over-month. Script-based malware increased significantly, with HTML at 14% and JavaScript at 11%. Compressed files including ZIP (14%), RAR (8%), and 7Z (5%) were common distribution methods. Document-based threats utilized PDF (13%), XLS (5%), and DOCX (2%) files. Attackers impersonated courier services like FedEx and DHL, as well as financial institutions including Hana Bank and Woori Bank. Distribution methods included HTML scripts and PDF hyperlinks leading to credential-stealing pages. Notable malware families included RemcosRAT and AgentTesla, with command-and-control infrastructure utilizing Telegram API tokens and external mail servers for data exfiltration.

CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:H/SI:H/SA:H allows an authenticated attacker to execute commands
on the remote system, which has high impact to confidentiality, high impact to integrity, high impact to availability,
and requires no user interaction.
Atlassian recommends that Bamboo Data Center customers upgrade to latest version, if you are unable to do so, upgrade
your instance to one of the specified supported fixed versions:

Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssh (ssh_sftpd module) allows an authenticated SFTP user to modify file attributes outside the configured chroot directory.
The SFTP daemon (ssh_sftpd) stores the raw, user-supplied path in file handles instead of the chroot-resolved path. When SSH_FXP_FSETSTAT is issued on such a handle, file attributes (permissions, ownership, timestamps) are modified on the real filesystem path, bypassing the root directory boundary entirely.
Any authenticated SFTP user on a server configured with the root option can modify file attributes of files outside the intended chroot boundary. The prerequisite is that a target file must exist on the real filesystem at the same relative path. Note that this vulnerability only allows modification of file attributes; file contents cannot be read or altered through this attack vector.
If the SSH daemon runs as root, this enables direct privilege escalation: an attacker can set the setuid bit on any binary, change ownership of sensitive files, or make system configuration world-writable.
This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/ssh/src/ssh_sftpd.erl and program routines ssh_sftpd:do_open/4 and ssh_sftpd:handle_op/4.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 28.4.3, OTP 27.3.4.11 and OTP 26.2.5.20, corresponding to ssh from 3.0.1 before 5.5.3, 5.2.11.7 and 5.1.4.15.

On April 11, 2026, researchers analyzed a CHM file (api_reference.chm) tagged as Kimsuky that initiated a three-stage attack chain. The C2 server at check[.]nid-log[.]com had directory listing enabled, allowing recovery of complete source code for all payload stages: a 6,338-byte VBScript performing system reconnaissance and establishing persistence via scheduled task, a 449-byte VBScript bridge to PowerShell, and a 6,234-byte PowerShell keylogger with clipboard monitoring and timed exfiltration. The infrastructure included 79+ domains across 5 C2 IPs spanning Korean VPS providers. The server responded with "Million OK !!!!" signature, matching previously documented Kimsuky infrastructure while showing upgraded Apache/PHP stack. The operation targeted Korean Naver users through credential phishing and tax authority impersonation, with infrastructure linked to previously documented Kimsuky campaigns via shared DAOU Technology subnets.

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) affects LimeSurvey versions prior to 6.15.11+250909, due to the lack of validation of gid parameter in getInstance() function in application/models/QuestionCreate.php. This allows an attacker to craft a malicious URL and compromise the logged in user.
Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information vulnerability in Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric MobileHMI versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS versions 11.02 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric MC Works64 all versions, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions MobileHMI versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, and Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions GENESIS versions 11.02 and prior allows a local attacker to disclose the SQL Server credentials stored in plaintext within the local SQLite file by exploiting this vulnerability, when the local caching feature using SQLite is enabled and SQL authentication is used for the SQL Server authentication. As a result, the unauthorized attacker could access the SQL Server and disclose, tamper with, or destroy data on the server, potentially cause a denial-of-service (DoS) condition on the system.
The Blubrry PowerPress Podcasting plugin for WordPress versions up to 11.15.15 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'powerpress' and 'podcast' shortcodes. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages. The vulnerability has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 6.4, indicating a medium severity level. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently documented. There are no known exploits in the wild at this time.
A vulnerability in the NestJS framework prior to version 11.1.18 allows improper neutralization of newline characters in Server-Sent Events (SSE) output. Specifically, the SseStream. _transform() method interpolates message.type and message.id directly into SSE text output without sanitizing carriage return and newline characters. This can enable an attacker who controls these fields to inject arbitrary SSE events, spoof event types, and disrupt reconnection state. The issue is fixed in version 11.1.
fast-jwt versions 6.1.0 and earlier do not validate the 'crit' (Critical) Header Parameter in JSON Web Tokens as required by RFC 7515 §4.1.11. This means that if a token contains a 'crit' array listing extensions that fast-jwt does not recognize, the library incorrectly accepts the token instead of rejecting it. This behavior violates the mandatory validation requirement defined in the RFC and can lead to insufficient verification of data authenticity.
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the user description field in all versions up to, and including, 2.11.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability is only exploitable when "HTML support for user description" is enabled in Ultimate Member settings.
