Crabbox prior to v0.12.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows non-admin shared-token callers to impersonate other owners or organizations by spoofing identity headers. Attackers can inject malicious X-Crabbox-Owner and X-Crabbox-Org headers in requests authenticated with a shared token to bypass authorization checks and access owner/org-scoped lease operations belonging to victim accounts.
The Burst Statistics – Privacy-Friendly WordPress Analytics (Google Analytics Alternative) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in versions 3.4.0 to 3.4.1.1. This is due to incorrect return-value handling in the `is_mainwp_authenticated()` function when validating application passwords from the Authorization header. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers, with knowledge of an administrator username, to impersonate that administrator for the duration of the request by supplying any random Basic Authentication password achieving privilege escalation.
A vulnerability in the azureauthextension component of opentelemetry-collector-contrib versions 0.124.0 through 0.150.0 allows server-side authentication bypass. The extension improperly validates Azure access tokens by comparing them as strings without proper JWT validation and uses the client-supplied Host header to determine token scope. This flaw enables an attacker holding any valid Azure token for any scope the collector's identity can mint to authenticate to any OpenTelemetry receiver using azure_auth. Tokens remain valid for their full lifetime, typically several hours. The vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 8.1.
fast-jwt provides fast JSON Web Token (JWT) implementation. Prior to 6.2.4, a critical authentication-bypass vulnerability in fast-jwt's async key-resolver flow allows any unauthenticated attacker to forge arbitrary JWTs that are accepted as authentic. When the application's key resolver returns an empty string (''), for example via the common keys[decoded.header.kid] || '' JWKS-style fallback, fast-jwt converts it to a zero-length Buffer, hands it to crypto.createSecretKey, derives allowedAlgorithms = ['HS256','HS384','HS512'] from it, and then verifies the token's signature against an empty-key HMAC. The attacker simply computes HMAC-SHA256(key='', input='${header}.${payload}'), which Node accepts without complaint — and the verifier returns the attacker-chosen payload (sub, admin, scopes, etc.) as authentic. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.2.4.
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. From 7.2.0 to 7.2.2, The fix for CVE-2026-4058 is incomplete. The hardening commit was merged and then silently stripped from src/api/routes/public/public-user.php by an unrelated PR before any 7.2.x tag was cut. Every shipped 7.2.x release therefore remains exploitable by the PoC published with the original advisory. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.3.1.
arduino-esp32 is an Arduino core for the ESP32, ESP32-S2, ESP32-S3, ESP32-C3, ESP32-C6 and ESP32-H2 microcontrollers. Prior to 3.3.8, the WebServer Digest authentication implementation in arduino-esp32 computes the authentication hash using the URI field from the client's Authorization header, without verifying that it matches the actual requested URI. This allows an attacker who possesses any valid digest response (computed for URI-A) to authenticate requests to a completely different protected URI (URI-B), bypassing per-resource access control. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.3.8.
Pingvin Share X is a secure and easy self-hosted file sharing platform. From 1.14.1 to 1.16.2, a critical authentication bypass vulnerability allows an attacker who has obtained a valid username and password to skip the second-factor authentication (TOTP) requirement entirely. Although, an attacker still needs the user's password to reach this stage. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.16.3.
The Java Key Vault Keys library in the Azure SDK for Java contains an issue in the local cryptographic verification path where authentication tag comparison was implemented incorrectly. In affected applications that use the vulnerable local cryptography path, specially crafted encrypted input may bypass integrity verification checks. Operations delegated to the Key Vault service are not affected. The issue is addressed in version 4.10.6.
CVE-2026-42869 is a critical improper authentication vulnerability in SOCFortress CoPilot versions prior to 0.1.57. The product shipped with a hardcoded JWT signing secret used as a fallback if the JWT_SECRET environment variable was not set. This secret was publicly known and included in example configuration files. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this to forge admin-level JWT tokens, gaining full control over the application and all managed security tools. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 10.0 and is fixed in version 0.1.57.
auth provides authentication via oauth2, direct and email. From versions 1.18.0 to before 1.25.2 and 2.0.0 to before 2.1.2, the Patreon OAuth provider maps every authenticated Patreon account to the same local user.ID, instead of deriving a unique ID from the Patreon account returned by Patreon. In practice, this means all Patreon-authenticated users of an application using this library are collapsed into a single local identity. Any application that trusts token.User.ID as the stable account key can end up mixing or fully merging unrelated Patreon users, which can lead to cross-account access, privilege confusion, and subscription-state leakage. This issue has been patched in versions 1.25.2 and 2.1.2.
openvpn-auth-oauth2 is a plugin/management interface client for OpenVPN server to handle an OIDC based single sign-on (SSO) auth flows. From version 1.26.3 to before version 1.27.3, when openvpn-auth-oauth2 is deployed in the experimental plugin mode (shared library loaded by OpenVPN via the plugin directive), clients that do not support WebAuth/SSO (e.g., the openvpn CLI on Linux) are incorrectly admitted to the VPN despite being denied by the authentication logic. The default management-interface mode is not affected because it does not use the OpenVPN plugin return-code mechanism. This issue has been patched in version 1.27.3.
Nhost versions prior to 0.49.1 have an improper authentication vulnerability where OAuth identity linking trusts unverified or incorrectly verified email addresses from certain providers. This allows an attacker to merge their OAuth identity into a victim's account by presenting an email they do not own, gaining full authenticated access. The issue arises because some OAuth provider adapters do not correctly verify the email or trust non-ownership-proving fields. This vulnerability has been patched in version 0.49.1.
Admidio versions prior to 5.0.9 contain an improper authentication vulnerability in the OIDC token introspection and revocation endpoints. The introspection endpoint always returns an active status for any token without validating it, allowing authentication bypass. The revocation endpoint falsely reports tokens as revoked without actually invalidating them. This flaw enables unauthorized access by accepting all tokens as valid. The issue is fixed in version 5.0.9.
OpenCTI-Platform versions 6.6.0 through 6.9.12 contain a critical privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2026-27960) due to improper authentication. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to query the API as any existing user, including the default admin account. The issue is fixed in version 6.9.13. As a temporary mitigation, disabling the default admin account via the APP__ADMIN__EXTERNALLY_MANAGED configuration is recommended.
MoreConvert Pro plugin for WordPress up to version 1.9.14 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability. The issue arises because the guest waitlist verification tokens are not invalidated or regenerated when the customer email address is changed. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to authenticate as existing users, including administrators, by manipulating the guest verification token and email address via the public waitlist flow. The vulnerability has a critical CVSS score of 9.8, indicating a high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Note Mark is an open-source note-taking application. In version 0.19.2, IsPasswordMatch in backend/db/models.go falls back to a hard-coded bcrypt("null") placeholder whenever a user has no stored password. OIDC-registered users are created with an empty password, so anyone who submits password: "null" to the internal login endpoint receives a valid session for that user. The bypass is unauthenticated and requires no user interaction. This issue has been patched in version 0.19.3.
Improper Handling of TLS Client Authentication Failure Leading to Anonymous Principal Assignment in Apache Storm
Versions Affected: up to 2.8.7
Description: When TLS transport is enabled in Apache Storm without requiring client certificate authentication (the default configuration), the TlsTransportPlugin assigns a fallback principal (CN=ANONYMOUS) if no client certificate is presented or if certificate verification fails. The underlying SSLPeerUnverifiedException is caught and suppressed rather than rejecting the connection.
This fail-open behavior means an unauthenticated client can establish a TLS connection and receive a valid principal identity. If the configured authorizer (e.g., SimpleACLAuthorizer) does not explicitly deny access to CN=ANONYMOUS, this may result in unauthorized access to Storm services. The condition is logged at debug level only, reducing visibility in production.
Impact: Unauthenticated clients may be assigned a principal identity, potentially bypassing authorization in permissive or misconfigured environments.
Mitigation: Users should upgrade to 2.8.7 in which TLS authentication failures are handled in a fail-closed manner.
Users who cannot upgrade immediately should:
- Enable mandatory client certificate authentication (nimbus.thrift.tls.client.auth.required: true)
- Ensure authorization rules explicitly deny access to CN=ANONYMOUS
- Review all ACL configurations for implicit default-allow behavior
CVE-2026-7042 is a medium severity vulnerability in 666ghj MiroFish versions up to 0.1.2. It involves missing authentication in the create_app function of the REST API endpoint, allowing remote attackers to manipulate the application without proper authentication. Although an exploit has been published, the vendor has not yet responded or issued a fix. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available.
A security vulnerability has been detected in SmythOS sre up to 0.0.15. Affected is the function AgentRuntime of the file packages/core/src/subsystems/AgentManager/AgentRuntime.class.ts of the component HTTP Header Handler. Such manipulation of the argument X-DEBUG-RUN/X-DEBUG-INJ leads to improper authentication. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
CVE-2026-41276 is an improper authentication vulnerability in FlowiseAI Flowise versions prior to 3.1.0. It allows remote attackers to reset any user's password without authentication by exploiting a flaw in the resetPassword method of the AccountService class. The system fails to verify that a valid password reset token was generated before allowing a password reset. An attacker who knows a user's email can submit a reset request with a null or empty token and arbitrarily set a new password. This vulnerability is fixed in version 3.1.0.
