| High | 7.8 | EPSS 0.1% | CVE-2026-114490Progressive Robot hMailServer · Incorrect Authorization High7.8EPSS 0.1%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-114490 CVE-2026-114490 is an incorrect authorization vulnerability in Progressive Robot Ltd's hMailServer versions 6.3.4 through 6.3.6. It affects the COM administration API, allowing accounts assigned the serveradmin role with a restricted domain list to gain full server administrator privileges over all domains. This bypasses intended role restrictions, enabling unauthorized access to all domain accounts, mail, server settings, and the ability to create additional server-administrator accounts. Accounts with serveradmin role but no domain list and other roles like help desk or auditor are not affected. | CVE Database V5 | ||
| High | 8.1 | EPSS 0.3% | CVE-2026-114489Progressive Robot hMailServer · Missing Authorization High8.1EPSS 0.3%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-114489 CVE-2026-114489 is a high-severity vulnerability in Progressive Robot Ltd hMailServer versions 6.0.0 through 6.3.6. It involves missing authorization checks in the REST and COM administration APIs, allowing remote authenticated users with domain-confined credentials to perform unauthorized changes beyond their allowed domains on multi-tenant servers. Attackers can manipulate mail routing, domain configurations, domain aliases, domain renaming, and rule actions, potentially diverting or denying mail for other tenants. The vulnerability arises because authorization gates do not properly restrict these actions to the caller's permitted scope. | CVE Database V5 | ||
| High | – | EPSS 0.3% | CVE-2026-86249Apache bRPC · Improper Authentication HighEPSS 0.3%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-86249 On a brpc::Server that sets both ServerOptions.auth and ServerOptions.internal_port, the HTTP built-in service exemption on internal_port can be abused to bypass authentication entirely. VerifyHttpRequest() returns true without checking any credential when a built-in service is requested on internal_port, and this verdict is not per - request: verification runs only for the first message of a connection and the result latches the connection. Sending a request such as GET /status to internal_port first authenticates the whole connection, after which every subsequent request dispatched on the same connection is handled without ever calling VerifyHttpRequest(). This lets a remote attacker reach ordinary (non-built-in, non-tabbed) authenticated services without supplying valid credentials whenever the server uses ServerOptions.internal_port together with an Authenticator. The fix restricts internal_port so that it carries only built-in and Tabbed services; requests for ordinary services sent to internal_port are rejected with EPREM / HTTP 403. Mitigation / Fix: upgrade to 1.18.0 or apply PR https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3525 . Users who rely on serving normal services on internal_port must move those requests to the port passed to Server::Start(). | CVE Database V5 | ||
| Medium | 5.4 | EPSS 0.3% | CVE-2026-84727Apache bRPC · Use After Free Medium5.4EPSS 0.3%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-84727 Use-after-free in the RTMP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a malicious RTMP peer to crash the process or potentially corrupt memory via a crafted Abort message. Root Cause: When processing an RTMP Abort (protocol control message type 2), the RTMP policy implementation deleted the target RtmpChunkStream object. The send path (RtmpUnsentMessage::AppendAndDestroySelf -> RtmpChunkStream::SerializeMessage) runs concurrently on sender threads and dereferences the same RtmpChunkStream object without synchronization. If a remote peer sends an Abort message naming a chunk stream that is concurrently being used to serialize an outgoing message, the stream object is freed while still in use, resulting in a use-after-free. Additionally, deleting the chunk stream discarded its previous message header, so subsequent compressed (type-3) chunk headers on that stream could no longer be decoded. Affected Scenarios: Any application using the bRPC RTMP protocol implementation (rtmp policy), either as an RTMP server or as an RTMP client, where the remote endpoint is untrusted. The attacker needs to send an Abort message targeting a chunk stream id that is concurrently used for sending, which can crash the process or lead to memory corruption. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3515 | CVE Database V5 | ||
| High | – | EPSS 0.1% | CVE-2026-82425Apache bRPC · Reachable Assertion HighEPSS 0.1%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-82425 A reachable assertion in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a malicious remote peer to crash the process, resulting in denial of service. Root Cause: When a Socket with health checking enabled fails, Socket::WaitAndReset closes its file descriptor while the event dispatcher may still be delivering an input event (EPOLLIN/EVFILT_READ) that was fetched for the just-closed fd. If the health check then succeeds and revives the Socket, Socket::Address succeeds again while the fd is still -1 (the next write reconnects on demand). In that window, Socket::OnInputEvent hits CHECK(!(events & EPOLLIN)) (or the kqueue equivalent) because the Socket is addressable but has no fd. CHECK failures terminate the process when bRPC is built with glog or when the gflag -crash_on_fatal_log is enabled (CHECK always terminates in OFFICIAL_BUILD/NDEBUG builds as well). Affected Scenarios: Applications using bRPC clients with health check enabled (-health_check_interval). A malicious remote peer that the client connects to can deliberately abort connections and immediately accept the health check probes, racing connection teardown against health check revival to trigger the assertion and abort the process. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3510 Note: After applying the fix, stale input events on a Socket revived without an fd are silently dropped instead of triggering the assertion. No user-visible interface or wire protocol is changed. | CVE Database V5 | ||
| High | – | EPSS 0.1% | CVE-2026-82231Apache bRPC · Uncaught Exception HighEPSS 0.1%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-82231 A Thrift client in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0, built with WITH_THRIFT which is off by default) can be crashed by the server peer it talks to. When the server returns a T_EXCEPTION reply whose exception struct is malformed, the client decodes it without catching what Apache Thrift throws (TProtocolException, TTransportException or std::length_error). The exception unwinds out of the bthread task function and the process calls std::terminate(), terminating the whole process along with every other in-flight RPC. This is the client response path, so the adversary is the server peer, which THREAT_MODEL.md treats as untrusted. It requires a WITH_THRIFT build (off by default). How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3500 | CVE Database V5 | ||
| High | 7.5 | EPSS 0.5% | CVE-2026-82230Apache bRPC · Uncontrolled Recursion High7.5EPSS 0.5%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-82230 Uncontrolled recursion in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server crash via sending deeply nested mcpack data. Root Cause: The bRPC mcpack2pb parser (used to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests) recursively parses nested objects and arrays without any depth limit. For a protobuf message that references itself (e.g. a repeated message field), the generated parser recurses once per nesting level of the incoming mcpack object. A deeply nested request makes the recursion grow unbounded, overflow the stack and crash the process. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC server with a recursive-schema protobuf message to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests from untrusted network. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3499 Note: No matter which option you choose, you should know that the fix enforces the documented parsing depth limit MAX_DEPTH (128) on the parse path, the same limit the serializer already applies. If your requests contain mcpack messages nested deeper than 128 levels, the request will be failed after applying the fix. | CVE Database V5 | ||
| High | – | EPSS 0.2% | CVE-2026-82210Apache bRPC · Reachable Assertion HighEPSS 0.2%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-82210 Enforceable assertion in the streaming feature of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a remote attacker to crash the server process by sending a malformed stream feedback frame. Root Cause: When handling FRAME_TYPE_FEEDBACK frames, bRPC calls Stream::SetRemoteConsumed() which contains CHECK(_cur_buf_size > 0) and unconditionally asserts CHECK(buf.IsEmpty()) on the frame payload. A feedback frame that carries an unexpected payload, or a feedback frame received on a stream where flow control is disabled (cur_buf_size == 0), reaches these assertions. On failure, CHECK failures abort the process, allowing an unauthenticated single client (once a stream is established) to terminate the server and cause a denial of service. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC server with the streaming control feature (Stream API) served from untrusted network. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3494 The fix rejects malformed feedback frames with EPROTO and closes only the affected stream instead of crashing the whole process, and it bounds buffer shrinking so cur_buf_size never drops to 0 while flow control is enabled. | CVE Database V5 | ||
| High | 7.5 | EPSS 0.7% | CVE-2026-56386Apache bRPC · Integer Underflow High7.5EPSS 0.7%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-56386 Integer underflow and out-of-bounds read in the HTTP/2 server DATA frame parser in Apache bRPC allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause denial of service by sending a malformed DATA frame with the PADDED flag set and a zero-length payload. Root Cause: The HTTP/2 DATA frame handler computed the fragment size from the attacker-controlled payload length and, when the PADDED flag was present, decremented the fragment size before ensuring that the frame contained the mandatory pad length byte. A zero-length padded DATA frame could therefore underflow the unsigned fragment size and read the pad length byte past the end of the frame buffer. Affected Scenarios: Apache bRPC servers that accept HTTP/2 traffic are affected when a remote client can send crafted HTTP/2 frames to the server. HTTP/2 may be reached through cleartext h2c detection on an HTTP port or through TLS ALPN negotiation. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade Apache bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3325 Note: The fix validates that a padded DATA frame has enough payload bytes for the pad length field before decrementing the fragment size or reading the pad length byte. Malformed zero-length padded DATA frames are rejected with HTTP/2 FRAME_SIZE_ERROR. | CVE Database V5 | ||

| Medium | 5.6 | EPSS 0.4% | CVE-2026-113730orphan-oss ognl · Protection Mechanism Failure Medium5.6EPSS 0.4%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-113730 ### Summary OGNL's optional *stricter invocation* mode maintains a block list that prevents expressions from directly calling methods on dangerous classes such as `Runtime`, `ProcessBuilder`, and `ClassLoader`. The block list filters on the **declaring class of the method OGNL invokes**. Because `java.lang.reflect.Method` (and `Constructor`/`Field`) are not on the list, an expression can use reflection as a proxy — `someMethod.invoke(target, args)` — to reach a blocked method. The real call (e.g. `ProcessBuilder.start()`) then executes inside the JDK reflection machinery and never passes back through OGNL's `invokeMethod`, so the block list never sees it. ### Proof of concept Under the default OGNL context (public-only access, stricter invocation enabled), the following expression creates a file even though a direct `new ProcessBuilder(...).start()` is blocked: ``` (#pb=new java.lang.ProcessBuilder({"/usr/bin/touch","rce-proof.txt"}), #methods=@java.lang.ProcessBuilder@class.getMethods(), #names=#methods.{ #this.getName() }, #startIdx=#names.indexOf("start"), #methods[#startIdx].invoke(#pb, null)) ``` ### Impact and scope — please read carefully **This is hardening of a defense-in-depth secondary layer, not a break of OGNL's primary security boundary.** In OGNL the stricter-invocation block list is a *secondary* mitigation. The **primary** access-control gate is the `MemberAccess` implementation supplied by the integrating framework or application, which OGNL consults on every constructor and method call. Frameworks that evaluate untrusted expressions are expected to install a restrictive `MemberAccess` — for example, Apache Struts' `SecurityMemberAccess`, which excludes dangerous classes and the `java.lang.reflect` package. Against such a `MemberAccess` this PoC is blocked at the very first step (the `new ProcessBuilder(...)` constructor), before reflection is ever reachable. The default context that ships with OGNL intentionally allows all public members and is **not** designed to sandbox untrusted input. An application that evaluates attacker-controlled expressions with that permissive default already has many paths to code execution, and this technique is not required to achieve it. **You are affected only if all of the following hold:** (1) your application evaluates untrusted/attacker-controlled OGNL expressions, (2) it uses OGNL's default permissive `MemberAccess` (or an equivalently permissive one that allows `java.lang.reflect`), and (3) it relies on the stricter-invocation block list as its sandbox. **Properly configured consumers — including Apache Struts with its `SecurityMemberAccess` — are not affected.** The actual protection for untrusted-expression scenarios remains a correctly configured `MemberAccess`; the block list should not be treated as a sandbox. ### Fix `java.lang.reflect.Method`, `java.lang.reflect.Constructor`, and `java.lang.reflect.Field` are added to the stricter-invocation block list, so reflection objects can no longer be used as invocation proxies in stricter mode. The `java.lang.invoke.MethodHandle` path was verified not to be exploitable (its signature-polymorphic `invoke`/`invokeExact` fail through OGNL's reflection-based invocation), so no additional classes are required. ### Credit Reported responsibly through Tidelift by 毛锐 (youyi.mr@alibaba-inc.com). | CVE Database V5 | ||

Affected devices include low-cost Android handsets, counterfeit flagship models, and devices from Doogee and Cubot. | AlienVault OTX General | |||
| Medium | 5.4 | EPSS 0.3% | CVE-2026-112958apostrophecms apostrophe · Cross-site Scripting Medium5.4EPSS 0.3%CVE Database V5CVE-2026-112958 ## Summary ApostropheCMS widget styles support project-defined schema fields. If a project defines a free-form `string` style field with a CSS `property` and no selector, an editor-controlled value is rendered as an inline CSS declaration. The resulting declaration is then inserted into the widget wrapper's `style="..."` attribute without HTML-attribute escaping. An attacker who can edit the widget can include a double quote in the style value, terminate the `style` attribute, and inject new HTML event-handler attributes. The payload is stored with the widget and executes in the Apostrophe site origin whenever the affected published page is rendered. This is a sibling of CVE-2026-33889 / `GHSA-97v6-998m-fp4g`. The earlier issue escaped from a `<style>` element through a malicious color value. This variant reaches a different sink related to the automatically generated widget wrapper's inline `style` and `class` attributes. ## Details ### Root Cause 1: Free-form string style values retain HTML metacharacters The standard string field converter uses `launder.string()` and length validation. This performs type normalization, not output encoding for an HTML attribute context: [`packages/apostrophe/modules/@apostrophecms/schema/lib/addFieldTypes.js:296-333`](https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/blob/aa5170c7df9ff9ea5ac2e72a008f12e28dae6ca8/packages/apostrophe/modules/%40apostrophecms/schema/lib/addFieldTypes.js#L296-L333) ```javascript self.addFieldType({ name: 'string', // ... convert(req, field, data, destination) { destination[field.name] = self.apos.launder.string(data[field.name]); destination[field.name] = checkStringLength( destination[field.name], field.min, field.max ); } }); ``` Quotes therefore remain in a value supplied through a style field. ### Root Cause 2: The value is converted into inline CSS without value validation For a field with `property` but no `selector` or media query, `renderScopedStyles()` selects inline rendering. The generic extractor concatenates the configured property and editor-controlled value: [`packages/apostrophe/modules/@apostrophecms/styles/ui/apos/universal/render.mjs:171-228`](https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/blob/aa5170c7df9ff9ea5ac2e72a008f12e28dae6ca8/packages/apostrophe/modules/%40apostrophecms/styles/ui/apos/universal/render.mjs#L171-L228) [`packages/apostrophe/modules/@apostrophecms/styles/ui/apos/universal/render.mjs:598-647`](https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/blob/aa5170c7df9ff9ea5ac2e72a008f12e28dae6ca8/packages/apostrophe/modules/%40apostrophecms/styles/ui/apos/universal/render.mjs#L598-L647) ```javascript rule = `${property}: ${normalized.value}${normalized.unit}`; // ... if (isInline) { return { css: '', classes: [ ...storage.classes ], inline: stringifyRules(storage.styles, true) }; } ``` For example, the value below becomes part of a `font-family` declaration: ```text serif" tabindex="0" autofocus onfocus="document.body.dataset.inline='executed' ``` ### Root Cause 3: Attribute values are serialized without HTML escaping `getWidgetAttributes()` places the inline CSS into an attribute tuple, then concatenates every tuple into `key="value"` without encoding `&`, `<`, `>`, `'`, or `"`: [`packages/apostrophe/modules/@apostrophecms/styles/lib/methods.js:251-322`](https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/blob/aa5170c7df9ff9ea5ac2e72a008f12e28dae6ca8/packages/apostrophe/modules/%40apostrophecms/styles/lib/methods.js#L251-L322) ```javascript if (styleParts.length) { attrs.push( [ 'style', `${styleParts.join(';')};` ] ); } if (options.asObject) { return Object.fromEntries(attrs); } return attrs .map(([ key, value ]) => `${key}="${value}"`) .join(' '); ``` The same raw serializer also makes a project-defined free-form `string` style with `class: true` a potential sibling path, because the string is added to `classes` and later serialized into `class="..."`. The inline-property path was the path dynamically verified. ### Root Cause 4: The unsafe string is used by the automatic public wrapper Styled widgets use `getWidgetAttributes()` to create a wrapper around the rendered widget: [`packages/apostrophe/modules/@apostrophecms/widget-type/index.js:448-457`](https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/blob/aa5170c7df9ff9ea5ac2e72a008f12e28dae6ca8/packages/apostrophe/modules/%40apostrophecms/widget-type/index.js#L448-L457) ```javascript if (hasStyles && self.options.stylesWrapper !== false) { const styles = self.apos.styles.prepareWidgetStyles(widget); const styleTag = self.apos.styles .getWidgetElements(styles, { scene: req.scene }); const wrapperAttrs = self.apos.styles.getWidgetAttributes(styles); return `${styleTag}<div${wrapperAttrs ? ' ' + wrapperAttrs : ''}>${markup}</div>`; } ``` Consequently, the injected attribute is present on normal public page renders, not only in the editor UI. ### Why the CVE-2026-33889 defense does | CVE Database V5 | ||

Release tag reviewed: @apostrophecms/import-export@3.7.0, commit 9500b8b0e1d630d5e07fbb5fd2c25ed0943845ce (September 30, 2026). Current main reviewed: 5ce3732be0ebdebb4db0f8ef160c81e8671157e6. The importer, gzip extractor, import permission gate, and core permission implementation have no differences between that release tag and the reviewed main. This follow-up is a static remediation review. We have not repeated the original end-to-end reproductions against the latest release or tested a deployed site. Current exploitability and impact therefore still require maintainer validation; the observations below establish that the reported security checks remain absent in public source. The original emailed PDF contains the original reproduction material. Please refer to that existing private attachment. ## Archive duplicate continuation permits unauthorized published-content replacement The overrideDuplicates() continuation still accepts client-supplied replacement choices, rather than binding them to a server-maintained, user-owned duplicate analysis. The replacement and write helpers do not establish a single canonical resource identity and authorization context before the update. This leaves the reported gap between draft editing authority and the published target selected for replacement unresolved at source level. The original report describes a contributor crossing the publication boundary through duplicate replacement on an import-enabled localized type. We have not repeated that end-to-end sequence on 3.7.0. Suggested remediation: bind continuation state to the initiating user, archive, job, permitted source/target mapping, locale and mode; reject inconsistent identity metadata; derive permissions from the actual loaded target and require publication authority for published targets. | Medium | 6.3 | EPSS 0.6% | CVE-2026-105298Pingora core: Pingora HTTP/2 :authority and Host header mismatch enables cache poisoning and host-based access control Medium6.3EPSS 0.6%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2026-105298 Pingora versions prior to 0.9.0 accepted HTTP/2 requests whose Host header differed from the `:authority` pseudo-header. Request filters, cache keys, and logs that read the request URI (`session.req_header().uri`) saw the `:authority` value, but the upstream received the client-supplied Host value. Pingora also accepted `:authority` values containing userinfo (for example, `user@example.com`). This violates RFC 9113 Section 8.3.1, which requires an intermediary to use the `:authority` value for Host and replace any existing Host field. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a single HTTP/2 request that the application sees as one host and the upstream receives as another. Where request filters, access controls, or cache keys use the URI authority and the upstream routes by Host, this can lead to cache poisoning, where a response from another virtual host is stored under the victim host's cache key and served to other users, or host-based access control bypass, where a request approved for one host is served by a different virtual host on the upstream. Deployments that do not accept HTTP/2 from clients, or that do not use the request authority for security or caching decisions, are not affected. This flaw was corrected in commits 915590a91811877795531f6ba0927a3138b5cb4b and ffab8302d08d4292d1924eb8fe84647fd5cb8e76. Pingora now returns 400 Bad Request for HTTP/2 requests whose Host differs from `:authority`, that contain more than one Host, or whose authority contains userinfo, and keeps the upstream Host or `:authority` consistent with the request authority. Users should upgrade to Pingora >= 0.9.0. Note: Cloudflare CDN customers were unaffected, as internal Pingora services at Cloudflare do not have HTTP/2 clients. | GCVE Database |
