CVE-2026-59950: CWE-346: Origin Validation Error in modelcontextprotocol python-sdkCVE-2026-59950 0 The MCP Python SDK, called mcp on PyPI, is a Python implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Prior to 1.28.1, the deprecated mcp.server.websocket.websocket_server transport accepted WebSocket handshakes without applying Host or Origin header validation, leaving no SDK-level way to restrict which origins could connect to applications that exposed that transport. This issue is fixed in version 1.28.1. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 07/15/2026, 20:08:54 UTC Added: 07/15/2026, 20:48:22 UTC |
CVE-2026-52870: CWE-862: Missing Authorization in modelcontextprotocol python-sdkCVE-2026-52870 0 A missing authorization vulnerability exists in the MCP Python SDK (modelcontextprotocol) versions from 1.23.0 up to but not including 1.27.2. Default handlers for task operations do not associate tasks with the creating session, allowing any connected client to enumerate, read, consume, or cancel tasks belonging to other clients. This issue is fixed in version 1.27.2. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 07/15/2026, 20:07:53 UTC Added: 07/15/2026, 20:18:21 UTC |
CVE-2026-52869: CWE-639: Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in modelcontextprotocol python-sdkCVE-2026-52869 0 CVE-2026-52869 is a high-severity authorization bypass vulnerability in the modelcontextprotocol Python SDK (mcp). Versions prior to 1.27.2 allow an attacker with a known session ID and bearer token to inject JSON-RPC messages into sessions they did not create. This occurs because the SDK routes requests based solely on session identifiers without verifying the authenticated principal. The issue is fixed in version 1.27.2.
