GV-VMS V20 is a Video Monitoring Software used to gather the feeds of many surveillance cameras and manage other security devices. It is a native application accessed locally, but it is also possible to enable remote access via the "WebCam Server" feature. Once enabled, it is possible to access to the management and monitoring feature via a regular Web interface. This webersever is another native application, compiled without ASLR, which makes exploitation much easier and more likely.
Most of the features require authentication before being reachable and leverage a standard login page to grant access. However the `gvapi` endpoint uses its own authentication mechanism via an `HTTP Authorization` header. It supports both `Basic` authentication and the `Digest` modes of authentication.
#### Stack-overflow via unbound copy of base64 decoded string
The `b64decoder` string is sized dynamically, but it is then copied to the `Buffer` stack variable one character at the time at [0], and there's no bound-check. As such, if the decoded string is bigger than 256 characters (the size of the `Buffer` variable) then a stack overflow occurs. Because the data can be fully controlled by an attacker and lack of ASLR, this vulnerability can easily be exploited to gain full code execution as SYSTEM on the machine running the service.
Insufficient validation of the prefix length field in IPv6 Router Advertisement processing in FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP before V4.2.6 and V4.4.1 allows an adjacent network actor to cause memory corruption by sending a crafted Router Advertisement with a prefix length value exceeding the maximum valid length, resulting in a heap buffer overflow. Users processing IPv4 RA only are not impacted.
To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to the fixed version when available.
Local privilege escalation due to improper input validation. The following products are affected: Acronis DeviceLock DLP (Windows) before build 9.0.93212, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Agent (Windows) before build 42183.
The deprecated functions ns_printrrf, ns_printrr and fp_nquery in the GNU C Library version 2.2 and newer fail to enforce the caller-supplied buffer length, and can result in an out-of-bounds write when printing TSIG records.
uuid is for the creation of RFC9562 (formerly RFC4122) UUIDs. Prior to 14.0.0, v3, v5, and v6 accept external output buffers but do not reject out-of-range writes (small buf or large offset). This allows silent partial writes into caller-provided buffers. This vulnerability is fixed in 14.0.0.
CVE-2026-33317 is a high-severity vulnerability in OP-TEE's optee_os affecting versions 3.13.0 through 4.10.0. It involves an out-of-bounds read and write in the PKCS#11 Trusted Application due to missing checks in the entry_get_attribute_value() function. This flaw can cause reading up to 7 bytes beyond a buffer's end and writing beyond the buffer with attribute data, potentially leading to information disclosure, integrity compromise, or a crash. Patches addressing this issue are included in commits expected to be part of version 4.11.0.
CVE-2026-41990 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Libgcrypt versions before 1.12.2. It involves an out-of-bounds write related to Dilithium signing where writes to a static array lack proper bounds checking. However, the data written is not attacker-controlled, which limits the potential impact. There is no known exploit in the wild, and no official patch or remediation level has been confirmed yet.
CVE-2026-41144 is an integer overflow vulnerability in the nasa fprime framework prior to version 4.2.0. The flaw occurs due to a 32-bit unsigned integer wraparound in a bounds check, allowing an attacker to bypass file size validation. This enables arbitrary file writes at controlled offsets combined with lack of sanitization on file paths, potentially leading to remote code execution on embedded targets. Version 4.2.0 includes a patch for this issue. No known workarounds exist.
The method "sock_recvfrom_into()" of "asyncio.ProacterEventLoop" (Windows only) was missing a boundary check for the data buffer when using nbytes parameter. This allowed for an out-of-bounds buffer write if data was larger than the buffer size. Non-Windows platforms are not affected.

SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. Prior to commit 45d48d1f2e8e0d73e80bc1fd5310cb57f4547302, the TGA codec's RLE decoder in `tga.c` has an asymmetric bounds check vulnerability. The run-packet path (line 297) correctly clamps the repeat count to the remaining buffer space, but the raw-packet path (line 305-311) has no equivalent bounds check. This allows writing up to 496 bytes of attacker-controlled data past the end of a heap buffer. Commit 45d48d1f2e8e0d73e80bc1fd5310cb57f4547302 patches the issue.
SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. Prior to commit c930284445ea3ff94451ccd7a57c999eca3bc979, the PSD codec computes bytes-per-pixel (`bpp`) from raw header fields `channels * depth`, but the pixel buffer is allocated based on the resolved pixel format. For LAB mode with `channels=3, depth=16`, `bpp = (3*16+7)/8 = 6`, but the format `BPP40_CIE_LAB` allocates only 5 bytes per pixel. Every pixel write overshoots, causing a deterministic heap buffer overflow on every row. Commit c930284445ea3ff94451ccd7a57c999eca3bc979 contains a patch.
SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. Prior to commit 36aa5c7ec8a2bb35f6fb867a1177a6f141156b02, the XWD codec resolves pixel format based on `pixmap_depth` but the byte-swap code uses `bits_per_pixel` independently. When `pixmap_depth=8` (BPP8_INDEXED, 1 byte/pixel buffer) but `bits_per_pixel=32`, the byte-swap loop accesses memory as `uint32_t*`, reading/writing 4x the allocated buffer size. This is a different vulnerability from the previously reported GHSA-3g38-x2pj-mv55 (CVE-2026-27168), which addressed `bytes_per_line` validation. Commit 36aa5c7ec8a2bb35f6fb867a1177a6f141156b02 contains a patch.
editorconfig-core-c is an EditorConfig core library for use by plugins supporting EditorConfig parsing. Versions up to and including 0.12.10 have a stack-based buffer overflow in ec_glob() that allows an attacker to crash any application using libeditorconfig by providing a specially crafted directory structure and .editorconfig file. This is an incomplete fix for CVE-2023-0341. The pcre_str buffer was protected in 0.12.6 but the adjacent l_pattern[8194] stack buffer received no equivalent protection. On Ubuntu 24.04, FORTIFY_SOURCE converts the overflow to SIGABRT (DoS). Version 0.12.11 contains an updated fix.
Firebird is an open-source relational database management system. In versions prior to 5.0.4, 4.0.7 and 3.0.14, when processing CNCT_specific_data segments during authentication, the server assumes segments arrive in strictly ascending order. If segments arrive out of order, the Array class's grow() method computes a negative size value, causing a SIGSEGV crash. An unauthenticated attacker who knows only the server's IP and port can exploit this to crash the server. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.0.4, 4.0.7 and 3.0.14.
A flaw was found in dnsmasq. A remote attacker could exploit an out-of-bounds write vulnerability by sending a specially crafted BOOTREPLY (Bootstrap Protocol Reply) packet to a dnsmasq server configured with the `--dhcp-split-relay` option. This can lead to memory corruption, causing the dnsmasq daemon to crash and resulting in a denial of service (DoS).
Adobe Framemaker versions 2022.8 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
InCopy versions 20.5.2, 21.2 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
